Day Job: Singer/Songwriter
How would you define your style? Feminine/edgy/classic - I love mixing really feminine pieces with something a bit edgier and I am a sucker for classic and timeless.
What is currently inspiring your style?
I’ve been feeling very inspired lately! Mostly by the spring weather (beautiful fresh flowers, fruit, sunshine) and my upcoming nuptials! With only a month and a week to go, I have been loving all things white!
What is your favorite item in your closet?
My first thought was my engagement ring, because that is by far my favorite thing I own, but since it’s not technically in my closet…I’d have to say my gold vintage Chanel bag. I try to save it for special occasions J That’s a tough one though!
What is the one thing you wish was in your closet?
Ohhh, love this question! At the moment, hot pink rockstud patent Valentinos…Ahhh, Feminine/edgy perfection!
Shoes, bags, or jewels?
All three for sure, but lately I’ve been on a bit of a shoe binge.
What is your favorite place to shop?
Nordstrom, J.Crew, Sephora, Neimans & Last Call (such good finds!)
What is your best style/fashion tip?
Invest in timeless pieces, closet staples, things that are classics and can be styled a lot of different ways. Look for pieces that flatter your figure and have fun! Fashion and beauty should be all about self-expression.
What was your inspiration for starting your blog?
I have always loved all things beauty. I’ve been doing my friends makeup and giving beauty tips for as long as I can remember. I love giving people beauty and fashion tips and helping them feel like the best version of themselves, inside and out (hence the name, bring your own beauty). There’s nothing more beautiful than confidence and a smile.
What is the one thing you love most about the city you live in?
Where is the best place to brunch in your city?
The Grape is delish and unique. There’s also a little spot in Grapevine that we love called Main Street Bistro and Bakery. But, my favorite brunch spot of all time is North Street Grill in Boston (where my fiancé and I went to school). Hands down the BEST brunch I have ever had. I’m talking next level amazing. If you go to Boston, add this to the itinerary…trust me, you’ll thank me later.
Beverage of choice?
As of late, Pellegrino with strawberries. I usually stick to water most of the time, but my best friend got me hooked on Pellegrino and I’ve been adding in berries! I love that it’s a fun twist on water, a good switch up and so refreshing for spring and summer.
